What’s in a name?

I was a little bit busy in my winter holidays. On my winter holidays, I bought some lucky bags. I got two lucky bags, one of two was packed cloths and it cost ￥5000, another one was packed sundry goods and it cost ￥2500. I also got some items with good price! Alos, I met Fumie and Yuri. We went to Karaoke and very delicious “Green tea café” J I like green tea! If you have any time you should go there J  There is in MORE’s. In addition, I played to kite flying, to badminton with my family in the large park. On that day, it was blowing a little hard. So I thought that kite must be fly very well! However, it wasn’t. In end of winter holidays, I saw the Ordry!! They are comedians. I terribly like them J They were very fun.

I don’t have any plans in winter vacation. I’m going to do two part time jobs during most part of vacation. One of two is a coffee shop, another is a driving school. In addition, I have to clean up my room. May be it takes many times. However, we have some exams in January, so I want to use a lot of time to study. I hope that.

BUT! I’m planning to have parties, tour Kamakura or overseas, meet high school friends in spring vacation. I’m looking forward to spring vacation over look winter vacation!

There are single-sex schools and co-educational schools. Both of them have each advantages.  In single-sex schools, you’ll have a lot in common with classmates such as conversation topics, value system and ways of thinking. Everything are similar you to your friends. You can enjoy talking without constraint, also you can concentrate on study and club activities. On the contrast, in co-educational schools give you more ways of thinking. You’ll learn how to talk, treat and cooperate with the opposite sex. These are some of the differences between single-sex schools and co-educational schools. We should carefully consider each advantages and disadvantages when we choose schools.

Do you like comic books?  Comic is one of popular amusement among almost people; especially most of Japanese are crazy about them.  We call comic books “Manga” in Japanese, and we have “Manga Kissa(漫画喫茶/まんがきっさ)”.  “Kissa” means café, but we call café “Kissaten(喫茶店/きっさてん)”, “Kissa” is abbreviation of “Kissaten”.

Now, you know, “Manga Kissa” is the space that we can ues for reading comic books and drinking some juice with reasonable price; besides, there have TV, DVDs, PC, TV games and shower room!!  Also, there are open around the clock, and there are locate in all over the Japan.  On the facts above, many people use there, such as miss the last train, don’t have own house (they can’t pay rent). 

These people may be more and more increase soon.  It’s one of the Japanese social problem, but we want to use there as an intimate place.

Then, I want to tell you about myself. My name is Rumi Abiko, maybe it is difficult to pronounce L But please call me “Rumi” or “Abicha——-n”!! I’m 19 years old girl who live in Japan. My hobbies are playing volley ball, Sado (tea ceremony), chatting with my friends, shopping by myself (usually I go to Yokohama, Minatomirai),  listing to music (especially I like Madonna, the Beatles, Christina Maria Aguilera), and watching TV dramas (now I’m interested in “UGLY BETTY”).

I have a 8-years-old brother, he likes to play TV games and DS, so he is familiar with anime and Japanese games, such as Naruto, Pokemon, One peace. Thanks to him, I also a little bit came to like these anime and games. I think Japanese anime or games are popular with foreigners nowadays, so it’s not useless that I know of these.

My most favorite food is Sushi!! My brother also likes it. So our family go to Sushi bar every Monday ;p

When teachers want to know the results of a quiz at once, teachers tell students to swap their papers. The way of paper swapping is general among many schools. However, this practice has both proponents and opponents.

Mainly, proponents of this practice are teachers. They think that it is the quickest way to check student’s results. Also, teachers can save their time. In addition, some proponents say that this practice makes students incentive.

On the other hand, opponents think that students’ privacy should be protect some students don’t want class mates to know own grade.

Thus, this practice has both proponents and opponents. We should be careful in deciding which stance to choose.

Recently, young children having their own cellar phones. Do you think about it’s good for them? Some people say it’s not good, but I agree.

Firstly, a cell phone with a GPS function makes parents relieve. Take for example, when children play outside and they don’t back home on time, parents understand with GPS where exist their children, they can relive and pick up children.

Secondly, dual-career families can hear their children’s voice with a cell phone.

In consequence, nowadays, cell phones have many functions, so accompany the risk. Then, many people against to elementary school kids owing a cell phone. However, today Japanese security is not so good, so many parents can’t let children play freely even though children are curious. I think, it becomes the world that parents should keep an eye on children. I believe that parents who give a cell phone to their children and children who given a cell phone from their parents both of them obey the rules, cell phone will be advantage.

I’m quick to take offence, even if it was stupid and small problems. Also I have a bad mouth, so I always have some troubles under a lot of stress especially, in train. For example, when I sat down at the train in the morning, and there are a little bit crowded. Then two high school girls stood in front of me. One of two student’s school bag hit every time I turned around. At first, I pretended to unconscious, but she was hitting it to me many times! I can’t put up with her, and I said “Hey! Your school bag hitting me a few minutes ago!!” However, I can’t always say to complain about people, so I’m more and more under the stress, but instead my friends and family amuse me!

Human beings have the ability to learn. Then how about dogs? To answer this question, Pavlov performed an interesting experiment was performed on using his dog. On this experiment, whenever they feed it to food is put before a bell is rung. Pavlov kept this experiment for a few weeks. One day, after several weeks the bell was rung, but didn’t appear food before the dog. However, it began to salivate when the bell was rung. The results, it was clearly showed that dogs are also have the ability to learn.
